What's great about it: The picture is incredible
What's not so great: The sound
The sound could be really good- except it vibrates on low sound. However, I am not letting that affect the review. Most LEDs don't have good sound. But, it is better than others. I tried an RCA and Toshiba and the sound was downright horrible.
Bottom line: Skip the RCA, skip the Toshiba, get the Samsung. Seriously. This is the third TV that finally met my needs and expectations. I had to return an RCA and a Toshiba before I got this.

What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Sound, grainy picture
The sound is very tinny- like a transistor radio. It is VERY grainy and pixelated. Any movement leaves trails. Watch out.

What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Picture, sound, USB interface
I am not someone with overly high expectations for a TV. Just a clear picture and some sound works for me. But, let me say, wow. This thing had a worse picture than my tube TV. It is grainy and constantly pixelated. When watching football, the runners would leave trails of pixels and yes I called Sharp tech support.
My last Sharp broke after 90 days. I should have learned my lesson. I then had to wait another 30 days for them to fix it and they still didn't get the part in. I got this one instead as it was a slight upgrade. I told them the reviews weren't very good at all but they insisted it was from the same series as the one I had (which it was, except my original TV was a 50 inch instead of 60) and would have the same picture quality.
I am not picky- but pixelation is a BIG no no. I did edit all the settings based on some info online and it still did not fix the pixelation and graininess. This TV is missing menu options offered by other Sharps in the 4 series.
By the way- this Sharp is NOT even listed on their American site. I found it on Sharp Canada site and the spec info is different on their site than on Best Buy's which is pretty interesting since it is the same TV. I emailed Sharp Canada to inquire about the difference and heard nothing back. It is quite suspicious.
About the weight- I am not sure who is writing these reviews- but the thing is at least 4 or 5 inches thick and 20 pounds heavier than the other ones, despite what the Best Buy specs say. Like I said, the specs are different in Canada. Maybe gravity works differently up north?
Bottom line: heavy, grainy, pixelated, sub-par sound, out-dated menus and horrible USB interface. If Sharp replies with another copy and pasted "we're forwarding this to development" comment, I know they haven't read it.

Equalizer not an option?

I go into sound and I can't get the equalizer menu option to come up. It seems to be greyed out. How am I supposed to adjust the bass and treble to stop the sound from vibrating? The sound is adequate except for that stupid vibrating from the bass.
If you select Standard as audio, you can then go into the equalizer.
