This baby is loaded with features you only dream of. The burners really cook food evenly and get hot quickly. The oven is awesome. Sure you have to lock the oven to keep from accidentally turning on the oven control panel, but hey, I don't care about that. This is more than a slide in range.. It's a piece of art.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can you turn on one left burner with the bridge part, and leave the back left burner off?
I know that is a strange question, but wondering if it's possible to turn on one 7" element and the bridge part, but not the back 7" element? Want to know if I can use the 2 front parts for a large pan. ;)
Yes. You can use front and back burners separately or you can bridge them to make 1long heating element.

Can I use only one oven (upper or lower) in dual mode? (to conserve energy)
You bet! I however recommend the lower oven for warming or cooking or baking food, the top oven to toast food since the top rack is closer to the heating elements.

Does this model (NE58F9710WS) have the divider to convert to two separate ovens like the chef's collection model? And if so what is the difference?
I think the Chef allows convection and contemporary cooking on the top oven. The 10ws is only convection on both oven sections.

Locking controls?
Is it possible to lock the range top controls (not just the oven) to prevent them from being turned on if bumped, walked on by cat, etc.?
Just the oven control panel. The knots will not easily turn, they are not that loose.

How often should the oven cooling fan run?
On my range the oven cooling fan seems to run about every other time that I use my oven. I am on my 4th unit, the other 3 (all the same model) were inconsistent in the cooling fan also, as well as all of them having other issues, which is why I am on my 4th range.
Mine kicks in intermittently. It doesn't always run, but it's not supposed to. It senses when the air needs to circulate as temps adjust for even heating. I had other brand convection ovens and they all acted this way.
