What's great about it: Does everything a PC and a tablet can do
What's not so great: Can be lighter and get rid of the fans!
The 2nd generation of Surface Pro 2 does everything a PC and a tablet can do. The hardware built itself is on par and even surpass many of the leading laptops, ultra-books and tablets out there. The current challenge is Microsoft needs to invest more and faster on encouraging developer creating more popular games and productivity apps in Metro-style. It has a real good chance to catch up on its loss of time to be a dominant force in this hybrid market space.
This product is... responsive touch screen, easy to set up, lightning fast, A nice compact size, Great screen size, Comfortable to hold

Restore data from hard drive

My old Win 7 laptop is dead. I have a backup disc drive created with Casper, how would I copy from the HD directly to a Surface Pro 2?
Hi JP, though I don't have specific experience with Casper, but I have used different enterprise-level imaging tools, I would recommend against this attempt, mainly because you would probably end up spending (wasting) lot of time getting all the old drivers, software and system parameters/settings to function properly in the new hardware. But from a technical standpoint, you probably need a bootable USB stick to boot up and start Casper tool and then re-image the Surface Pro 2's SSD from the backup disk drive, but there is only one USB port, the bootable USB stick needs to have enough space to hold the image backup. This is going to tiring for you, sigh!
