What's great about it: display, speed
What's not so great: Woefully inadequate writable storage, painfully slow screen rotation
I've had a SGTP 8.4 for 6 months. For my purposes, it's turned out to be an extremely poor investment. With as many of the apps that can be moved to the SD card as possible, it has less than 11GB of internal storage available. With Android 4.2.2, 3rd party apps can't write to the SD card - something that wasn't publicized and which took me over 2 months to discover (along with many others). Since my main intended use was to download and manipulate large image files from my camera, this amount of writable storage is woefully inadequate. Furthermore, the screen rotation has become increasingly slower. Now, with 1.76GB of storage available and no apps running, the screen takes 8 seconds to rotate - a major inconvenience. If these factors are important to you, don't waste your money.
