What's great about it: image quality right out of the box

For those in the market for a 23 inch glossy ips widescreen like I was this holiday, this one tops the market. Highly recommend it. After reading the positive reviews on the retail websites (dell, amazon, newegg and bestbuy), I made the purchase on christmas day with another retailer since they had the lowest price including shipping. Then on Christmas night, I had an alert that Best Buy was $10 cheaper. I like to save money so in this case $10 would look really nice in my wallet. Would you go out of your way to pick up a $10 bill? I think so. So I canceled the purchase that I had made which was easy to do since the retailer was closed for Christmas and purchased this monitor on Best Buy.com. I'm not going to say how much I purchased it for but it was for sure a Christmas Day deal since the next day the price went back up again. There's no point in crying over cracked eggs because I got mines. It was ready for pick up the next day at the store. Parking was mad crazy. I went past the customer service line where there was a long line of people doing returns and went to the pick-up desk to pick-up my monitor. I didn't have to wait for shipping which I heard was backed up like molasses. As I have already indicated, I'm very impressed with the montior. I'll leave it to the technoids to point out the pros of this monitor, there is no shortage of positive reviews. But, one thing to note is there is no HDMI interface. You'll have to look at the L model to have that. There is no DVI cable included. The DVI cable that I had also had a very large head that I had to wedge into the back of the monitor. This is a con but make sure you have smaller heads on your DVI cable. I was able to work right out of the box without having to install any drivers. I had an acer monitor before and it seems to use their existing driver without any issues. I just had to adjust the brightness down a bit. So far, I am very happy with this purchase. A merry christmas indeed.

Display settings Dell S2340m
Is there any way to change display settings that will effect the fonts inside programs? I can change the font size but it doesn't help once you are in a program. And if you change the screen resolution you get a small screen with bars on each side and distorted views.
You can configure the font size on the operating system. You won't be able to change the font size on the monitor settings.
