What's great about it: you can do everythin! i use for personal and business
What's not so great: there are some apps that are not yet available
I absolutely love this product, I now only use my laptop when I am doing technical computer work and always have the tablet on the side anyway as I just have to have my hands on it. I use the full MS office suite to connect to work for Outlook and Lynch, and Excel and Word when needed.
For the apps that are not there the websites are now mostly all touch friendly and you sometimes don't even know that you are in internet explorer and not an app!
I have the start screen customized so that my apps are categorized into Work, News, Social, Games, Leisure, etc, its great. I don't even have a keyboard yet since the stylus that comes with it is better then a mouse and the touch keyboard is very easy to use.
I use Comcast Xfinity to watch all the movies and TV shows which works great.
Having the desktop to do certain tasks gives you the power to do anything that you would like to or that you used to do with your Windows PC. To say all in one, does not even tell the whole story!
The way you can manage the touch controls for swiping, etc, is great, split windows, slide between windows, close apps, and lots more! Its all there to say the least. 10x better then an iPad which is like tablets for Dummies compared (no offense) match it with the windows phone and and your windows 8 desktop and you will be amazed. The SkyDrive, OneNote, Music, Photos, files you choose and more are available on all devices. Last thing as I could go on for ever, XBOX music, syncs between all devices its great, plus they have Xbox games. You won't be sorry with this choice as every time I see someone using an iPad All that they do is play games and watch videos. Go for it! oh and add an extra 64gb of storage with an sdxc micro card.

Can you plug in a external dvd player through the usb port to watch movies?
Yes, purchase a USB DVD an external DVD player see if you can get one with USB 3.0 its much faster.

Are the Surface Pro 2's that BB is currently shipping have the 1.9ghz updated processor?
Microsoft bumped the processor from 1.6 to 1.9 and i am wondering if the tablets shipping now have the updated processor.

I purchased mine a few weeks before Christmas and I have the 1.6. If its too late to cancel the order hold down the start button and from the sub menu that pops up go to System to see what you have. If you do end up with the 1.6 retune it (you should have 30days) then have best buy verify that the one you get has the 1.9. Best of luck, either way you will love the tablet!

Remote Desktop
I want to control my Windows 7 desktop system with Remote Desktop from the Surface Pro 2. Is Remote Desktop on the Surface Pro 2 fully functional, with Network Level Authentication?
Yep, same exact as you have on your computer, you should have no problems.

Can you get Analytic Solver for Excel on a Surface Pro 2?
You can install any app that you can install on a regular PC on the surface pro 2. So as long as you get a version that runs on windows 8.1 your goo to go. Install it like you were using a PC, the only difference is no cd drive so just download the latest ver from the web site or copy the cd to a portable hard drive or flash drive.
