First off, I am super impressed with the performance of this box. Anyone looking to "cut the cord" should look into purchasing Amazon's Fire TV. This offering is surely geared toward Amazon content, but anyone who thinks that the content is exclusively Amazon's would be dead wrong. There are many apps including Netflix, Hulu Plus, Crackle, Popcornflix and Sling TV on top of Amazon Prime and pay options from Amazon. I will say that the exclusion of VUDU was a downer for me, but I have other ways to access it.
The best part of Fire TV is the option to "sideload" Kodi. If you don't know what that is, Google it. Kodi makes this, or any other streaming box, a real alternative to Cable or Satellite, as it is free and you can literally watch any TV show that has already aired at any time and almost any movie ever made.
The Amazon Fire TV is well worth $99, even more in my opinion, but if the price is steep, get the Fire Stick. The specs are not as beefy, but you get the same apps and you can also load Kodi onto it.
Purchase, you won't be disappointed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazon Fire TV vs Roku 3 (box)

Which one is better? Why/why not?
I have both and I have to say the Fire TV blows the Roku out of the water. The reasons are that a.) Fire TV has a much faster processor. b.) I use Amazon prime and Fire TV is geared toward Prime features. c.) and most of all you can "sideload" Kodi. If you aren't familiar with Kodi, Google it.
