I was incredibly skeptical about this headset due to the price. I love a good deal as much as the next guy but $79.99 for a quality headset seemed too good to be true. I pulled the trigger because I was looking for something to go along with my new gaming PC and already had a decent speaker setup. I was truly amazed at the sound quality! The fact that I am writing a review is a testament to this, as I rarely post reviews for products, but I felt I needed to share my opinions for anyone else thinking this headset may just be middle of the road due to the price.
Pros:
- Excellent, crisp, NOT TINNY, sound. Punchy bass, clear responsive mids, great highs. Compared to the other headsets I have owned for consoles (Turtle Beach Stealth 500x, Astro a50, Tritton AX720) these sound Amazing!
- Good, distinctive surround sound channel separation
- Easy setup
Comfortable, noise isolating ear cups
Cons:
- Mostly plastic
- Faint hiss when no volume is coming through. I have noticed this with every wireless headset I have owned, but it is annoying nonetheless. Note that this may be due to the excessive amount of devices nearby running on the same 2.4ghz channel
Overall: This headset is the happiest I have ever been with a single product. Really. For $80, I got a headset that has better audio quality than my previous headsets which literally cost at least THREE TIMES AS MUCH. This is not just a great deal, but a great product. I would buy again, and recommend to anyone looking for a high quality headset for gaming, movies, music or anything that requires sound
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better than the A50's/any other gaming headset

To start off, I've been using gaming headsets since 2008, and am VERY picky when it comes to sound quality. I had been using the Astro A50's for the past year or so, but the chat adapter for the Xbox one never seemed to properly work with it. I decided to replace them with the stealth 500x's, expecting a downgrade in terms of overall sound quality but an improvement in functionality and convenience. Out of the box, these are a pain to set up. You need to hook them up to your computer and download a firmware update to both the transmitter and headset. A one time thing, but still annoying. After that, I began using them, and WOW! First of all, the sound quality is not only on par with the Astros but even better. They don't have the "tinny" sound of the Astros but maintain all of the clarity and surround performance, and have a better/larger soundstage. They are simply the optimal, most immersive gaming sound solution, and I have begun using them oven for single player games instead of my home theater system. In addition, the chat mix is much better, allowing a better combination of game sound and chat to strike the right balance. Overall, I got what I expected and then some. The headset is completely wireless, it works like a breeze, always pairs, lasts 5 hrs longer than my A50's, sound better, and once again NO CHAT WIRES/PUCKS. If you are in the market for a headset for the Xbox one, get these. Period. They are worth the price, and are cheaper than most other headsets in their market level. My one and only lasting complaint is that the power button is slightly loos, and if you jerk your head too fast it can be heard rattling inside the headset. Very minor, and hardly ever noticeable, but peculiar none the less. BUY THESE

Logitech G930 VS Corsair H2100

Both are at the same price of around $75-$85. Both wireless, really looking for sound quality and features. both seem to have one or the other. Any recommendations?
No experience with the Corsair, but I can definitely say that the G930's have the best audio quality I have experienced in a headset. (I've used Turtle Beach Stealth 500x, Astro A50, Tritton AX720). Not only that, but they are the only pair that I could stand, and even enjoy, watching a movie on. Punchy bass, and best of all the audio does not sound tinny which is a problem I have had with every other headset I have used.
