What's great about it: User Friendly, fast boot up, consistent admirable performance
What's not so great: Wifi signal at times, varies, a bit slow after a year, et cetera.
I bought this as my first personal desktop computer almost a year ago and it has been a great experience. HP has been in the family and has proven itself once again. I absolutely love it, looks attractive, quiet, and fast. I give it a 95% reliability rate because technology isn't perfect and since I've had to force shut it down twice. The reason being it might have been the games I was playing along with a minor malfunction, no biggie. I might add that the WiFi signal receiver isn't the best but it holds up well when surfing the web, gaming (WoW, Diablo 3, CoD: MW2, AC: Brotherhood, but no so great with running Day Z Standalone#, email*, music/ iTunes, with glorious multitasking power. Alt + Tab your way through 2 - 12 applications before you experience minimal lag. #NOT recommended if you want to run more than 2 - 3 games at once, this isn't a gaming PC but its pretty good# Windows 8/8.1 is indeed fast, beautiful, and fluid but I've noticed Photos and Mail to get buggy from time to time but again, no biggie. I suggest getting "AddBlock" for Google Chrome because I just love to listen to Pandora add free all day everyday :D it also eliminates adds pretty much on all websites# Anyways I highly recommend this for a son, daughter, new first computer, or simply an upgrade#
PS# Pair this pretty with a good quality 21#5" - 23" flat screen computer monitor / LED screen #Dell, ASUS, w#e# your preference is) and it's amazing to look at and Definitely worth the money# Here's a link to mine:

Is the NVIDIA - GeForce GTX 760 graphics card compatible with this PC?

Mainly, will it fit in the case? Also, does the motherboard accommodate it?
I'm pretty sure it's compatible, says it has PCI connections but you will probably need an upgrade on the PSU because you would need at least 550W (personally would go to a 600W PSU just to be safe).

I have microsoft office 2007. Is it compatible with the HP - Pavilion Desktop

I don't know for sure, but I have this itch telling me it probably won't. Why? Because it already has the newest version, w.e. its called but only a 30day trial. Ask Geek Squad! :D

Is this good for video editing?

I'm not a video editor pro but I've made a few decent gaming vids through windows movie maker, but other than that I don't have any video editing software sorry.

extra hard drives

I have hard drives on my current computer with movies/music etc. Does this have open slots to add another hard drive?
