What's great about it: Looks good, feels great
What's not so great: Wish it was backlit
I purchased this for around $20 on sale at Best Buy to replace an older style Dell keyboard at the office. I am a developer, so I spend a good portion of my day typing code. I wanted a wireless keyboard that was very slim, had chicklet style keys and a normal key layout. I have not been disappointed at all.
They key travel on this keyboard is great. It's very responsive and easy to type on. While they keyboard is plastic, it doesn't feel cheap. There is very little flex in the base and the keys are not overly mushy. It's not a mechanical keyboard feel, but it's much more rigid that a typical Logitech keyboard. It is somewhat similar to the feel of my ThinkPad X1 Carbon keyboard (which I love), perhaps not quite as good.
For the price, I ended up purchasing a second one so that I could use it at home. I've only had these for about 4 months so far, but I haven't had to change any batteries yet. If they would offer a higher end version with back-lighting, I would definitely buy it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The caps lock and num lock keys are suppose to light up right?

Caps lock and num lock keys are not lighting up when I press them. If it is suppose to then I guess I have to return them.
The keys do not light up, most likely this is a power savings measure. You can set up on-screen display indicators, but there is nothing on the keyboard itself as far as LED lights or back-lighting on any of the keys.

Battery life

Is there a on/off switch for this item?
There is no on/off switch, only reset. However, it is only using power when keys are pressed. It also contains no LED lighting or indicators.

Is it compatible with tablets that have USB? Specifically MS Surface RT?
Yes, this works as a standard USB keyboard (just like a corded keyboard) and will be recognized as such without any extra drivers needed.
