What's great about it: Samsung Ativ 9Plus Fits Perfectly
What's not so great: Appearance does not match list price
If you are buying this for the current Ativ 9 Plus (mine purchased 3-14) I can confirm it is a perfect fit; very snug in a good way.. This is made by Samsung and if you buy the i7 laptop directly from Samsung it is included free. It should be included free regardless. I purchased this at a BB sale price of $29 dollars minus a $20 discount cert. Sammy wants $39.00 for it! Frankly a 10 dollar product is what it looks like. Not really up to what should cover a 1,700 laptop. The construction seems very good and of quality. The material looks somewhat cheap and it really should have a less slick surface for carrying. It is very smooth and has no texture to assist grip. Otherwise, it is OK. Hard to find a sleeve to fit this machine so that makes it valuable. Advise you to shop around and pay as little as possible for this.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Quality, form factor, performance
What's not so great: Fingerprints
I purchased this model after having the i5 version for a couple of weeks. It was great, but realizing this was a keeper, I upgraded to the i7 version since I plan to keep this a long time.
The machine (both versions) arrived in flawless condition, no minor quirks or flaws as has been seen in reviews on other devices. Samsung has its quality control act together. Set up was very easy. The display, keyboard, touchpad are all a pleasure to see and use. Everything feels and is solid. No point discussing the shortfalls of Win 8.1 since all new machines will have this so it's oddness crosses all devices it is on. I appear to be getting much better battery performance than expected based on reviews. I disabled auto display brightness adjustment and use manual on high setting. I also have Bluetooth and wireless running continually. Seems like I get 7.5 to 8 hours although honestly I just don't use the machine constantly for that long but after several hours I generally have 75% battery power left. Plenty for my needs. I watched wifi live stream TV on a 5 1/2 hour flight and had something like 20% left after landing. In any case, plenty of time unless you are having some kind of competition with another brand. The i7 with 8 g memory is really fast and a noticeable difference from the i5 although the i5 is plenty powerful. Depends on what you do and how much you want to invest really. No complaints about the wifi connection is strong and consistent. The fan is fairly silent, but it will get quite warm on the bottom if there isn't clearance for airflow.
Weight and thinness are all cream on this laptop. It's just a great machine
Couple of minor observations. Inside and out the thing grabs fingerprints/ smudges much more than you would expect. I don't know why ( and, yes I do wash my hands regularly). The cover and inside flat surface around the touchpad area seem worse than the display for grabbing prints. Have a cloth handy if this will bother you. I also think that at this price point, the leather sleeve that is included if you buy directly from Samsung ( at a slightly higher price btw) should be included regardless of where it is purchased. Seems petty to not have it part of the bundle for close to 1800 bucks. It's not a very pricy add on. Thankfully it does have a nice solid ethernet dongle included. I also found a good number of useless Samsung and MS apps that aren't very helpful pre-loaded. Easy to delete but just mentioning.
I agree with the first reviewer that Samsung Help and especially Samsung Advisor app are useless and for the later quite annoying. If you buy this, delete that one first; you'll thank me later.
Overall a fairly perfect machine worth the price. If you are looking for a full powered highly capable ultrabook that performs like a desktop replacement, this one if for you. Thanks for reading.

What's great about it: Design, quiet, sound
What's not so great: display flaws, glitches
If you've seen one of these you know it is beautiful to look at. Great Gorilla Glass lid in blue, thin and easy to handle. Nice keyboard and touch pad.
The display had considerable backlight bleed, especially along the lower edge. Tried to ignore this but could not. On delivery there were nearly 100 updates to load even before the win 8.1 update which had many more. Lots of drivers to update as well. Took many tries to clear the Bluetooth .dll error but finally did through trial and error with drivers (I think). Returned the laptop after the touch display began to stop responding to touch randomly every couple of days. ASUS support could only offer suggestion to reset to factory defaults but had no clue what the problem could be. Power down reset cleared the issue on reboot but only temporarily. This machine has some bugs and it bothered me that it seems to have been built a long time ago thus all of the updates .Exchanged it for an ATIV 9 Plus and have had no issues at all. That machine had about 15 updates to load and came with 8.1 preinstalled. ASUS design is beautiful and the pc has many strengths, but preferred to spend more and avoid multiple returns or long term problems for what were simple quality control problems. Unknown what else might crop up over time and who needs the hassle. You do get what you pay for.

Is there a way to connect to the internet using a wired connection?
I saw in a customer review that the customer used a usb ehternet cable. Is this true? Does the laptop have this capability? Is this cable included in the box? Thanks.
Yes. An Ethernet connector dongle was included in the box. it connects to a mini port on the left side of the laptop.

Does this come with the Haswell processor?
Pretty sure this model does, but it doesn't mention it in the specs or the highlights, and I'd think this would be a selling point worth mentioning!
