Plug and play with MacBook Pro. Full HDMI and quite a few user settings make this easily customizable. I still need to color calibrate it, but out of the box it looked great!

I researched many makes, models and brands before purchasing this. I already own the Vizio M50-C1 4K TV so the matching brand was an extra bonus when setting it up. Every cable under the sun was supplied with the system but a single HDMI cable and running to the ARC/HDMI port on the TV was all it needed. It mutes the TV speakers when the system is on and turns them back on when the system is off.
But the sound is what really impresses me! This system replaced a Bose 3-2-1 GS that at the time I paid $1,000 for and really, there is no comparison. This system rocks!! I was first amazed when I ran the "speaker test" from the remote. It literally filled the room. Then listening to any channel I had on or movie that I played was just far superior to the old Bose system.
I couldn't be happier with my purchase! My only gripe (and it's not with the system itself) is with the SmartCast app. It is a great idea, if it worked. Have tried for two weeks but can't get the app to recognize and connect to the sound bar. Oh well, I have a great 4K picture and 5.1 sound so maybe I'll try again, when an updated version of the software comes out.

What's great about it: The picture is fantastic!
What's not so great: Can't get it to control my Apple TV
This is a feature packed model and compared to other 32" sets, a great price for what you get! I have not, at least to this point, been able to get the remote to control my Apple TV but plan to get that done this weekend.
This product has... Useful Internet-enabled features, Easy to set up, Great value and features for the price, Right number of connections, Easy to use remote control

Can you stream Pandora on this sound bar from your phone, using your phone as a wireless hotspot? I have no Wi-Fi
Yes, connect it via bluetooth and it works fine.

What is the exterior of the soundbar and rear speakers made of? Is it hard plastic or cloth covering?
It is cloth covered on the face and top. The ends are brushed metal and the back and bottom are black metal.

Do I need a receiver for this sound system and a blu ray player?
A receiver would not necessarily be needed. The system is rated at 100 dB which is more than enough to shake an ample sized room. There is no blu-ray player built in, so yes you would need that.

how many watts
It is not measured in watts anymore it is measured in dB (decibels). This sound bar is rated at 100 dB which will shake the room!

Does this come with a power cord and a cord to connect to Vizio TV?
It comes with every possible cord one would ever need to make any type of connection to your equipment. In fact I've never seen such an array of cords.
