What modem will do the job?
We have brighthouse for tel, tv and internet. What modem wld do the job?
Really depends on what BRIGHTHOUSE will support.
Get in touch with them and find out what version of the DOCSIS specification they currently support. This modem will support version 2 and 3.
So, if your ISP will support DOCSIS v2.0 or 3.0 this modem/router/WiFi access point will work for you. IT may NOT support your telephone, if the phone has its own modem. If your current service has two separate devices, this device will only support internet activities; web browsing/TV/file downloads/uploads, etc. It will support Voice over IP [VoIP] telephone services like SKYPE.
Some service providers like Comcast have a separate modem for the VoIP telephone service that they provide. So, check with your provider before you buy this - expecting that it will cover everything.

Present modem includes land line phone connection but subject product does not. How do I address this?
This is NOT the product for you. This is a hybrid cable/fiber modem product and must connect to a broadband cable service provider.
What you need is a DSL modem or an ISDN modem that will connect to your phone line and provide up to 128Kb/sec internet service.
OR, you can fall back to a standard telephone modem which will or should or can provide up to 56kb/sec service. These will not connect to a cable company but to an Internet Service Provider that supports dial-in services. [Verizon, sprint, MCI, etc.]
What you need is a DSL modem or an ISDN modem that will connect to your phone line and provide up to 128Kb/sec internet service.

How many wireless devices can be connected at a time.? What other devices do I have to choose from?
You can connect more items than you own!
As a guest, you can log in as many as 200+ people.
As a full user, you can log in as many as 250 people.
This includes, printers, scanners, laptops, tablets, cell phones, household appliances, TV sets, set-Top boxes, streaming video devices and if you have an implant, you can connect yourself to the internet and enjoy the electron flow. ;-)
As a guest, you can log in as many as 200+ people.

Would I need to purchase a seperate router if I purchase this modem?
No, this product contains the modem, router, firewall, wireless access point and 4 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports.
