We purchased this for our high school daughter. She has been using it for a solid year now and loves it. She is able to do everything needed; she types and saves papers, researches, listens to music, watches videos, uploads digital pictures from her camera, etc. A couple really nice features are the portability and speed. It is so light - she can put it in a small messenger bag - no problem. Furthermore, because everything runs off cloud software, the system is never 'gummed-up' and therefore, never slows down... still fires up like new. We don't really want her on it ALL the time, so the fact that she needs internet access for many of the tasks and entertainment isn't a problem - it's really a good thing. We'll definitely be buying another one for her younger brother.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What features do I need to look for in a printer which will be compatible with the Chromebook?
The Chromebook needs to link to a printer via another computer that has the printer software and drivers on it. For example, we have multiple "traditional" laptops being used and each has the software/print drivers to use the printer via wifi. The Chromebook uses the Google Cloud Print service to link to any one of the other computers and then print. Google it for instructions - it was pretty easy to get working.

Data Connectivity?
I have WiFi at home. Can I use the Chromebook with my existing WiFi, or will I have to purchase a data plan?
We use our existing home wifi. We've not had any problems with the wifi at all. Our daughter can also connect to the wifi at school, at the dance studio, at McDonald's, etc. :-)
