I I bought this tv on Black Friday for a pretty good deal, after a a couple months here it is. I have this tv in my bedroom, it makes a faint frequency noise when turned off and is very annoying if your laying in bed in the silence. Also the 4k steaming on this tv doesn't exist unless you have the best internet connection known to man, all the 4k stuff i tried to stream barely went into hd, also the 4k videos on youtube don't look 4k to me. Only other downside is lack of ports on the back. No aux out port or RCA audio out. Only Optical audio. Keep that in mind. Other than those complaints the tv is wonderful and gets the job done. I would say to get a full 4k experience, get a 4k upscale bluray player and a 4k upscale bluray movie.

I would recommend this to a friend!

upscaling?

upscaling to 4k..? is this telling me, that because all TV stations deliver their in 420 and 720p, and sometimes in 1080p, whatever they broadcast with, it... the 4k TV upscales it to 4k...?.. so one won't need to purchase HD from cable companies anymore ? we can just use basic cable ?

No, companies are standard broadcasting in only 720, or 1090p right now, they are up and coming with 4k in the couple years but it does not upscale 1080p hd into 4k. If your watching a 1080p video on this 4k tv, its going to be 1080p. You have to be watching 4k content to watch it in 4k.

If you want to watch 4k content i suggest the roku 4 that is 4k based and comes with a hdmi 2.0 cable.

I wouldn't upgrade your hdmi cables because you have to reason to because 4k is not available on cable providers tv boxes.

Is a remote included with the model 43UF6400? It's not listed on the specs list. If so, Is it a smart remote?

its a basic looking remote, i actually am kind of liking it, the buttons have a nice press to them, but no it is not a smart remote and it isn't compatible with the lg smart mouse remotes either.. :(

Is this compatible with PS4?

Hi,

LG has had known issues with compatibility with Sony PS4. Please provide confirmation that this TV has none of these compatibility issues.

no issues as long as you have a good hdmi cable, i have a ps4 hooked up to mine.

Connecting to a Receiver

how can I connect this TV to my Yamaha receiver so I can play the sound through the receiver's speakers? I tried running my DVD player to the receiver and then running an HDMI cable from the receiver to the 2nd HDMI port on the TV but I get no sound from either the TV or the DVD player.

The thing that sucks about this tv is lack of ports, your only option is to use the optical audio port and hooking that up to your Yamaha, if the Yamaha doesn't have optical audio, you can buy cheap adapters on amazon that go to optical audio to red and white rca inputs.

Yes this is wall mountable, you have the universal 4 screw holes on the back of the tv.

What is the input lag for this TV?

I am thinking to buy this TV with a new PS4. Is this TV good for gaming and so, what is its input lag?

I currently have an xbox one connected to mine and there is 0 lag. Coming from just a 1080p tv to this is a huge upgrade with double the hertz, its noticeable. The picture just all around looks better.
