I will definitely buy a more solid usb flash drive next time. I have no problems with the performance of the flash drive itself - it was very fast and efficient. But now I don't use it because I'm afraid I'll lose it - it falls out of my pocket accidentally since the plastic fob broke.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Is the plastic usb port connector on the flashdrive as durable as the metal ones?

The part of the flash drive that goes into the pc USB port is plastic. All other flash drives have metal ones. Is this as durable as metal?
No. NOT worth buying. Mine broke within one week, and now I don't use it because I'm afraid of losing the drive. The cord pulled through the plastic. (Plus, since the drive is so small, you almost have to pull it out by the cord - you can't get a grip on it especially in hard-to-reach usb ports)
