Pros: comfortable, semi-open design contributes to large sound stage, relatively easy to drive with a smartphone, laid back sound promotes fatigue free listening from lower resolution streamed music.
Cons: Not great for isolation of background noise, Details are softened, cumbersome smartphone (1/8") adapter.
This is probably the best set of headphones I purchased for under $100 ($80 on sale) At this price this was a no brainer purchase. Even at $150, these are an excellent addition to your headphone collection. With a balanced frequency response, these are great for classical, jazz, acoustic and even rock recordings. It's only when you play bass heavy material that you may find them lacking in ultimate sound level. I can spend hours listening to these without fatigue and get enough detail to remain interested in listening. They are also great for listening to lower resolution streams as digital artifacts are not as pronounced as with other headphones. If you can pick up a pair under $100, just do it.
