My intended purpose for this product was to assist in streaming video from a NAS. While I do enjoy Netflix and this model does not support Netflix is no concern for me neither are the other apps. I have other devices that support Netflix and the other apps that WD TV media player offers. WD needs to support Netflix, as I think this driver potential customers to purchase similar products from the competition. I have only had this item for a couple of days, but it works great so far for my intended purpose as stated above. It has a HDMI and optical port on the back as well.
The unit itself does have some weight to it and rubber feet so it doesn't slide around easily as it sits atop my Blu-Ray player. The remote feels solid and has a rubberized feel to the bottom of it. The remote works well and have not experienced any lag in response that some other reviewers have experienced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not a tech genius, but I can figure things out eventually. I've owned this for about a month and so far no issues to report. My previous router was a Netgear N300 WiFi Router that I had for a couple of years. The N300 still works like a champ, but I wanted an upgrade. I wanted the Nighhawk AC1750, but the foot print was a turn-off for me as space is a premium and I didn't want to hang it on the wall either. Though the Netgear R6300 is big, it stands upright so the foot print isn't so bad really. The set-up is REALLY easy and choosing between 2.4 & 5G for WiFi is easy as well. My devices that don't support 5G do not even show up as an option to connect, so this makes it easy if you're not sure what devices are 2.4 or 5G. No complaints thus far. This is my third Netgear purchase and haven't had any issue so far. Definitely recommend!

Looking for Hi-Speed internet router and/or modem..Any suggestions?? Do they have monthly access charge

I bought the Netgear R6300 about a month and I love it so far. Not sure if you have the internet speeds to justify purchasing this one, but if not, it's not bad idea if you plan on upgrading. This will future proof yourself anyways.

I was always told to buy separate router and modem because one thing usually can't do multiple tasks well. Meaning, don't buy a modem/router combo. I bought the Motorola Surfboard 6183 modem to compliment this Netgear R6300 router

Is this version 1 or 2?

There is a second version to this router. Which are you selling? Please be clear in your information.
