To begin, the specs list warranty as "not applicable". That alone should tell everyone to stay away. Beyond that, USB 3.0 has be out far too long for any new product to not be using it. For a long term storage device to save all my video and photos, 3TB is too small. Both video and photo resolution keep going up creating larger and larger files. I remember when 3GB was considered to be a huge amount of storage, now most games are bigger than that. Finally, I have some videos that I don't want openly displayed on any device in my house or available to any hacker out in the street, I see no protection for protecting my material on Lyve except to make sure it never gets to the unit, Guess that means some things must remain in cardboard boxes. This is not really a "photo album for the digital age." Maybe the gen 2 device will get closer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good AM radio

Seems like most tuners have poor AM radios these days. I prefer talk radio so this is an important feature to me and I am very satisfied with this unit's receiver. FM is good also. I prefer the USB port rather than a useless, to me, Apple port. It is a nice, compact unit that performs quite satisfactory. The only significant lack has to do with tuning the radios. Neither the unit nor the remote has a digital keypad Therefore, to tune you must go up, or down, one station at a time and you're pretty much flying blind as to what station you're on. If you are on the FM band, you're totally screwed because the display doesn't even tell you the station frequency - at least not when you are going from one preset to the next. If you haven't written them down, you are at the mercy of the station to ID itself.
With the exception noted, I really like the compact size, sound, and overall quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung - T1 1000GB External Serial ATA Portable Solid State Drive - Black
Samsung - T1 1000GB External Serial ATA Portable Solid State Drive - Black
This Samsung T1 MUPS1T0BAM external solid state drive's 1000GB capacity provides plenty of space to house documents and other important files, so you can easily back them up and take them on the go.

People say this external drive should save files for years. My question is 10 years or 20 years?

With digital media the only real protection you have is by making multiple copies. I have pulled old hard drives out of filing cabinets that are 10-15 years old, put them into machines and found MOST of the data to be perfect. However, I've also found corrupt files on hard drives that have only been there for about five years.

Can I use a bluetooth transmitter with a 3.5mm headset jack so i can pair my bluetooth earbuds and wireless speakers?

Why not just pair it to the unit? But yes, it should work.

Do i have to use bluetooth with my I-phone or can I listen to my music by plugging into the usb port?

I asked this question several days ago and haven't heard anything. I'd like to be able to listen to music on my phone by plugging into the usb port also. Can I do this with my i-phone?
For a list of supported devices go to http://esupport.sony.com, in the USA. (from the instruction sheet that come with the unit)

Can I connect a turntable and play vinyl records?

There is an audio input jack on the back of the unit. I would anticipate that it would work with your turntable providing your unit does not require a preamp.
