Today (2/11/15) I returned a 2-week old Vizio M-492i-B2 to Walmart that was purchased online and picked up in store. From beginning to end, my Walmart experience was excellent - I give them a 10. This Vizio is an awesome TV with incredible specs; however, there appears to be a major design flaw in Vizio's sound technology. The picture freezes, and at the same time, the sound will mute (cut off) on its own for a length of time. Sound eventually returns. Maddening. I decided this was not a good thing to experience in a 2-week old TV. In the 2 weeks living with Vizio, I researched this particular Samsung online, and, also read all the BB online reviews. This research was the deciding factor. With a friend's help and SUV, I picked it up, brought it home, and proceeded to set it up. The BB salesman was excellent. I have cablevision wireless, hi-def in my house, along with a 55" Samsung Smart TV, and older Sony 30" flat tv. Both are flawless, and my local cablevision is terrific. When I got stuck halfway thru the online setup instructions today, I simply called my local cablevision office, and in 5 minutes, they successfully walked me thru completing connecting my cable box to serve as the universal remote. Picture and sound are exceptional. Sound is great - I do not need a sound bar. Nor do I need to wait for a cablevision tech to come to my home to set up. No downtime without a new TV in my bedroom. Return, refund, purchase, and setup accomplished in one morning. Easy peezy!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Is clear motion rate the same as hertz?

Clear motion rate is Samsung's terminology. Yes it does refer to the hertz. My understanding is that Samsung's 240 translates to 120 hz. It's not 240 hz. But the 120 hertz is what I wanted vs. 60 hz. Hope this helps.
