LTech is great about replacing these only because the *&$ keeps breaking around the hinges which hold iPad i place. Don't waste your time or money on this product.

Purchased 1st KB 2 years ago. Hinges break leaving iPad unsecure. Logitech replaced 7 times - last one (of course after warranty exps) used 2 months another broken hinge ... will not purchase another LT! SAD!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Light
What's not so great: Hinge keeps breaking
The hinge on the left side where you turn on/off iPad keeps breaking even though I have tiny fingers and medium strength. Logitech has been good about replacing the defective unit(s) under warranty. However, both replacements have the same problem. The 3rd unit I just received, the hinge was already broken so quality control is lacking in the shipping department. I'm very disappointed in this Logitech product. This Ultrathin keypad has a serious design issue that can be remedied by redesiging the hinges.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Is there a blacklight or any light in the case to light up the keyboard?

NO and don't waste your time with this product. Logitech has replaced it 6 (yes 6) times (under warranty) because the hinges that hold the iPad in place keep breaking in one way/place or another.

Just purchased Logitech Type + but it didn't come with instructions. What do we need to do to get the keyboard to synch with the Ipad air?

Can be found on-line ... however, I set mine up by going to settings, and Blue Tooth showed Type + And it connected by itself I think, if it didn't I selected Type + then it connected. A good keyboard but beware, hinges are flimsy and may crack causing iPad to become unsecured from holder.
