What's great about it: affordable price, easy to use
What's not so great: interior rusted
I purchased this microwave in June, 2013 to match our kitchen, which has only stainless steel appliances from GE. Considering our range top and oven were purchased in the 1950s and still going strong, we anticipated at least an average lifespan for our microwave. However, after a few months, we noticed the interior lining beginning to bubble up and crack. By June 2014, the lining had begun to chip away, both on the top and bottom of the interior, exposing rusted metal. Obviously, we no longer feel safe using this microwave and are shopping for a replacement.

I am looking for a quiet microwave.

Please rate this microwave for noise level of beeps when cooking ends, and can this feature be deactivated? Thank you.
I actually found the beeping to be quite loud and did not find a way to deactivate it. The reminder beep (when you leave an item in the microwave) is also very annoying.
