I gave a 4 because of the system memory. Although that doesn't really matter because everything saves to your drive, it could still have just a little more. This is perfect, I can open all of my MS Word files that already saved and edit them and save them. The employee in the store didn't know much about it and told me that I would not be able to run word or create documents with it and directed to another purchase which was about 200 more. I went back and said if it doesn't work out I can bring it back. All i wanted was something to edit, change and create documents for work; and this does just that a bit more. If you create a document in Google Docs, you save it (automatically done, never losing work) and open on a PC and download as a Word file, OR, a PDF, and several others. If you create a word doc on a PC you can open it in Google Docs and also redownload, creating a PDF. This thing is awesome. No clutter of programs and docs on the desktop and you can like your dropbox to it as well.
I tested the battery life while working on it and got a full day out of it with some more to go. In standby mode, I gave up about half way through the second day with still more than 90% life. It's light weight and works great. The google slides works perfectly with created presentatations and PowerPoint files as well. It has an HDMI port for connecting to the projector and runs super smooth when connected. You cannot go wrong if you are looking something to just handle documents and take to meetings rather than lugging a lap top or fumbling with a tablet and keyboard.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What security protection does Chromebook have?

Since I like to do online shopping and banking, is the Chromebook secure?
It's basically gonna have all the same security features as your android phone. It's an app based OS. The best thing to get really is Webroot from the app store; it's actually run by Bestbuy and I have found it is the easiest, doesn't eat up your system when running. It will attach to your browser and also keep you clear from certain cites that may have intruding cookies. You pay the yearly subscription fee but it can be installed on 3 devices, including your cell phone or home PC's

Skype

I was told I could Skye on this Chromebook
You can skype. When you download the app and hit the icon in the bottom left corner to show your apps, you have to then click on the bottom right to show what you have downloaded. after that you right click on skype and pin it to the hot tray or whatever they call it. Sorry for the vagueness but i'm not looking at the Chromebook right now but you can do it. I have it on mine along with Dropbox and few other apps.

My 6th grader grandson does not have a computer at home. His teacher recommended the Chromebook...why?

It allows them access to the internet and gives them a point to start. They cannot download stuff to it so it's safer on your network and the computer itself. He can download some apps from the play store and run them and there are a lot of educational apps out there on the playstore. He will have access to email, web browsing, and some games with out filling your home PC with all the kid clutter. It's a place to start before buying him an actual PC. And easier on the wallet for a start

Samsung - Gear Live Smart Watch for Select Android Devices - Black
Samsung - Gear Live Smart Watch for Select Android Devices - Black
Designed for use with select Android devices, this Samsung Gear Live SM-R3820ZKAXAR smart watch lets you clearly see important mobile notifications on the 1.6" Super AMOLED touch-screen display. The Bluetooth 4.0 LE interface simplifies pairing.

gear live vs. gear 1 or 2

I would like to know what are the pros and cons of the GEAR LIVE compared to the GEAR 1 and 2?
Gear Live runs Android Wear. Gear 2 runs Tizen (Samsungs OS). Tizen will take a great while before it takes off if it does. Too many people are already familiar with Googles OS. Gear 2 is also a better design over the Galaxy Gear. With the Gear 2 and Gear Neo you are held to a Samsung Device running Android 4.3 or higher with the Gear Live you can use any device running Android 4.3 or higher. The gear live does not have a microphone, camera, or IR blaster but the novelty of those options runs out quickly. The 100 dollars more for the Gear 2 is not worth it for those upgrades considering Tizen will likely hit some huge road blocks with limited developers. The Gear Neo is thensame price as the Gear Live with the same features as the Gear 2 minus the camera but again it is running Tizen. The biggest complaint so far on the Gear Live is the battery being around 21 hours with minimal use and people having to charge it every night. Lets be real on that, if you own any of the others you are gonna charge them nightly as well, LIKE EVERYONE DOES NIGHTLY with a cell phone. I have owned the others and they were really nice and cool but the Tizen OS really made me worry so I have ordered the Gear Live and i am waiting on that now. There are several reviews online from people who aquired them from Google IO but its really all in what you want the watch to do. Live is for notifications mainly and Google now when you need an answer in a hurry. Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are for people who just want to leave their phone in their bag or pocket for the day but again, running Tizen and limited in apps. Good luck with your choice but it all comes down to what you are looking for it to do. Dont let ALL the reviews out there scare you, some people expect to much. And when you see people complaining about the software issues (not many) with the Gear Live remember, its not the product with the issues, its the software, same software in the LG G watch and upcoming *Moto360*.
