What's great about it: Price, Space, Ease of use, Speed
What's not so great: Noise, glossy finish
Purchased this to complement my new retina MacBook Pro since I was going from multiple internal drives on my old Mac to one small SSD in the new one.
I primarily use this to house my Aperture, iTunes, and software libraries and needed space and speed. Over USB 3.0 I get a little over 100 MB/s read and write, which is fast enough to run my Aperture library on and edit photos with. I keep it connected as my main drive apart from the OS and Applications so it is running about 80% of the time, when it's not, I'm not at my desk.
Pros are that it is fast, and very spacious, even for someone with a fairly large library. It won't stand up to a Thunderbolt RAID, but for home use it's great.
The only con I can think of is noise. It's a rather loud hard disk when it's in use, and it does take a bit of time to spin up causing the finder and related apps to freeze while it waits. For constant use at a desk that is otherwise quiet, it can be a bit annoying. But is worth it for the speed and storage.
If you only use it for a backup drive, this will be a non issue.

What's great about it: Fits well, easy in easy out
What's not so great: Strap position
I bought this sleeve for my retina MacBook Pro 13" because normal size MBP sleeves are too loose and the rMBP is nearly the exact same thickness of the MacBook Air (at it's rear). Thusly, the rMBP fits well in Air sleeves.
The build quality of this sleeve is good enough, feels nice in the hand and is soft on the inside. It has some plastic in between the layers for rigidity as well. The color combination is good (blue/gray), but not important to me.
The only down side I can find is the fact that it is not a closed sleeve and allows some slippage of the MacBook out a little on the side if stressed. If the strap was in the middle, used velcro or a zipper it would be more stable. But the ease of use makes up for it. I tried another sleeve that was just too difficult to get in and out and this was the compromise that had to be made.
The plus side is that it is extremely easy to get in and out of the sleeve and is excellent for keeping your Mac from getting scratches carrying it around and sitting it down or in a bag. And it is durable enough I believe it will last a while without breaking the bank.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Warranty information
What is the Manufacture's Warranty and can you get an extended warranty?
The warranty as stated on the box is a limited 2 year warranty through WD. This will not cover accidents, but would cover a failing drive, power adapter, or cable.
