My laptop was not working anymore and data transfer to a new one was at least 100 dollars . Got the Dynex enclosure and in 5 minutes had all my data again. Very easy to use!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hewlett Packard (HP) Laptop Hard Drive does not fit enclosure.

HP HDX Premium Series Laptop, 250GB Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive - 7;200 RPM; 2.5in form factor; 9.5mm thick will not fit in the Dynex enclosure. The device carton states it will support up to 9.5mm drives. Does anyone have a work around?
Are you sure you took the hard drive out of its case? In the laptop they are inside a metal case, you need to get rid of it.
