What's great about it: Able to access with multiple devices and platforms
What's not so great: Included software needs improvement.
I have used this product for about a month and what I have noticed is that the included software needs to be improved on to make this into a great product. I would rate the hardware a 4/5, while the included software a 2/5. I am using a PC with Windows 7, an android phone and a ipad 2 and all seem to work well in accessing files. What I do notice is that for some strange reason, on every third day the device becomes inaccessible and stays in sleep mode. I can access the drive using ftp programs, but if I use the included WD software its shows the device as offline. WD Mycloud dashboard only shows the firmware and leaves the others blank. I have tried the dashboard on chrome, firefox and safari with the same issue. Unplugging and plugging the device is the only remedy that seems to work (at least for another 3 days).
Performance tends to be slow uploading files to the device. It has taken 2 days and 15 hours to backup 209GB of data (done wireless). Movies, music and pictures seem to go quicker than other files. I have no issues watching streaming videos or listening to music on my devices. For Itune users - you can stream music on all your devices without problems, but for movies, you do need itunes on your device. So I was able to stream movies to my ipad and PC, but unable to stream to my android (it was worth a shot).
Noise issues depends on where you put your device. Some areas echo the sound more than others. If you do notice a sound, place a thin piece of rubber underneath the WD which helps dampen the sound.
With software issues aside, I do think that this is a great alternative for online storage sites. It does what I want.
This product has... Included software is not useful, Attractive design/portable, Large capacity/good size
About me... Technology guru, Need a simple backup solution
I would recommend this to a friend!

Is it possible to sabe photos from the app into the camera roll in IPad / IPhone?

Yes. It is possible to save photos from the drive to your ipad or iphone. You can go to itunes and get either WD My Cloud or WD Photos. Both are free.
