What's great about it: Ease of use, print quality, speed
What's not so great: Nothing
I've owned many all-in-one devices over the years. This is by far the best I've ever owned. Install/setup was straight forward and fast. The print quality is way better than my laser printer. Print speed is very good for an inkjet printer. I love this machine!

What's great about it: Small size, needs only USB for power and data.
My experience as an IP professional is that Seagate makes some of the best hard drives available. This little drive (2.5" drive) resides in a sleek housing which can reside most anywhere on a desktop or server rack. Windows recognizes and configures it quickly and it is immediately available for backing up data or whatever purpose you need an external drive for.
I would recommend this to a friend!

dell dimension 8400

will this hard drive be compatible...i am already upgrading my memory to 4gb...thanx
If the drive will physically fit in this compact Dell computer, it will be compatible. Just be sure to get the drive specifically for Windows (there is a version for Mac).

What type of partition table does this drive have,windows 7 install says it needs a GPT?

Seagate 1TB internal ata drive,m/n st310005n1a1as-rk.
The drive is formatted with NTFS for Windows.
