I actually went to Best Buy for a simple 42" HD LED TV. Needless to say, after the sales associate showed me this tv and all the features, I must say, I'm really glad I made this 43" UHD purchase instead. Spent about $400 more than I intended but the extra $$ was well worth it…and with the KODI app, I can now downgrade my cable (just that alone makes it worth it). I've had it for about 2 wks and still haven't begun to scratch the surface of its capabilities. Picture and sound are crisp! Apps abound…plus more via Google Play or internet download! Great job SONY!

Does it have discrete IR codes for the different inputs
I use a programmable remote most of the time for my entire entertainment center. I was wondering if when you switch inputs on this tv, do you have to cycle through the different inputs or can you jump to an input for the tv directly using a remote?

which is best plasma or led
Guess it depends on your preference. Plasmas have a wider viewing angle and deeper dark colors and faster picture adjustment between colors, brightness and scenes. LEDs tend to cost less, have a brighter picture and display lighter colors more brightly while using less power.
