A year and a half later and this tablet still is a delight. Coupled with a bluetooth keyboard folio case, this is a great portable laptop alternative that fits nicely in a messenger bag, at about the size of a normal sheet of paper. The battery consistently lasts more than 10 hours, the screen clarity is superb, the soft keyboard has characters no other tablet I've seen has and it multi-tasks with barely a hint of performance degradation. Also, I have used 128 GB microSD XC memory cards in exFAT format without a problem. Bluetooth and wifi are great and I have paired it to a keyboard, another PC and stereo headphones simultaneously without any stuttering. This is a sweet deal now if you get the white one for 454.99. If you are after something small you hold in one hand and operate with another this is not the tablet for you, but if you want great multimedia (movies, YT videos, music, etc), multitasking (3-4 apps running simultaneously) and a generous typing surface this is a great buy, not to mention a wonderful display.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Will this sale be offered again?

I'd love to take advantage of this deal but since I am considering switching from an iPhone I need more than 4 frickin hours to be able to make an educated decision. I cannot just leave work to go look at one of these phones to know if it truly is something I would like to purchase. I don't want to get stuck with something for 2 years that I end up hating after it arrives at my house.
If having a phone that will last an entire workday with commute at reasonable screen brightness, and using bluetooth and/or wifi are deal breakers for you, look elsewhere. I don't know how these folks are getting such phenomenal battery life because my brightness is 9% (I actually use a magnifying glass to see the screen sometimes), wifi, bluetooth, sync, vibration and any feature that demands power is turned off and it is now essentially a dumb phone because of the features one must disable to get 10-12 hours of use between charges. There was a guy raving in another forum how he got 2 days out of 1 charge with heavy use and I'd like to know his secret because I am a fairly competent device user and with mine in Flintstone mode it does not get more than half a day (12 hours). The other day it went from 87% to 21% in 4 hours! And that was with less than 1 hour screen on time at a pitiful 9%. Read the experience of others but mine is not a positive one, especially after all the hype and a previous phone that was small by comparison but had a 3300 mAh battery and lasted for days. Good luck to you.

does the note 5 have a slot for a sim card?

Nope, unless it's hidden under that glass back which looks like a nightmare to remove as it is affixed with some sort of temperature sensitive adhesive. I watched a tech remove one of them and it was amazing how much heat he had to apply and for how long to remove the back. Sorry, wish it did but it does not.

There are alternatives, not so elegans. such as a microusb drive which is instantly recognized and can give you 128 gb of storage I think. But then you have this thing dangling on the bottom of your phone which I think would be vulnerable to damaging the microusb port if torqued inadvertently.

would i be able to run quikbooks pro on samsung pro

I want to replace my toshiba laptop i am using my sam sung tablet not sure if the pro would handle this program
I think if there is an android version of QB this tablet has more than ample oomph with an octacore processor; 4 cores running @ 1.9gHz and 4 running @ 1.3 gHz (when it is operating at top speed). The problem is does an Android version of QB exist. With the large screen size and retina display you will be able to see smaller fonts hence more data because it is very very clear compared to a conventional laptop display (unless it is an AMOLED or OLED display).

GPG,No 3G or 4G

Doesn't make sense. Why would samsung put a gps system on a tablet that is not set up for 3g or 4g?Normal wi-fi doesn't go past most people's back yard.If you need a gps to find your way around your own back yard, then you have got a serious problem. It's a little pricey for no 3G or 4g,iPads run about the same price, and can be set up for that.I know,I've had two of them counting this one.
You can get a 3g or 4g edition (usually a mobile service carrier contract is required) from various mobile providers such as AT&T and Verizon I believe. While the model of the wifi tablet is SM-T900, the model of the 3g Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 3G is SM-T905. The 3G model can also use wifi but it defaults to 3g. If you want 4g you have to move up to the Note Pro which is about $100 move than the regular price of this tablet. Check your phone stores. Getting an unlocked one is great but with such a large screen this sucks up the data and even the best cellular data plans would not be satisfactory if you want to do any significant downloading of video or audio material. Can you use the mobile tether feature of your existing mobile phone? I use that and it works flawlessly but I pay for mobile hotspot service.

Will I be able to watch video content online?

I see that this tablet is not Adobe Flash compatible. I watch a lot of videos of tv shows online, both domestic and from overseas. Will I be able to view my videos on this tablet?
Yes, depending on your download speed and wifi speed. I think 15 mbps or > for DL speed is safe and wireless G work (although N or AC are preferrable). It is great for Netflix, Amazon video (if you want to give Amazon permission to access almost everything on the tablet), Hulu, YT videos, music videos, PlayOn, Roku, and other Cable/Satellite alternatives. The speakers are loud enough for a tablet but you really will want a pair of quality bluetooth headphones for a decent sound experience.

Will this Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 run Microsoft Office

1. What version of Office is compatible?
2. How does one load an Office app to the tablet?
3. Can an Office document be routed to a printer? How?
Yes. You can D/L MS Office from the Samsung store once you set up an account and although the download is free there are in app purchase charges to use it. I believe it is Office 365. You can print to a wifi printer, definitely a Samsung one but I am not sure about other brands.

is there a lollipop update available?

Yes. I received it mid-September on the wifi version of the tablet by web when selecting "check for updates" now. I think it is being rolled out in phases. I have not experienced any problems since the update and it installed without a hitch.
