What's great about it: The price.
What's not so great: Sound terrible, picture so-so
Ok so I bought this TV, so that I could replace my parents 32 inch samsung, and then I would put the 32 inch in my room, because I needed an HDTV.
Well let me say the 1st thing I noticed. THE sound. The sound. The sound. Terrible, compared to the samsung. ( Which we bought back in 2010, but could only afford a 32 inch, which is too small for a living room TV)
It isn't that the volume is too low. It is just the quality. It sounds similar, to an alarm clock radio's speaker. So, if you plan to use some sort of external amplifier, then it wont matter I suppose. But..ya its pretty bad.
Ok, the picture...at 1st it looked too orange. So I messed around with the settings, and it helps..but the coloros or no where near as clear, and vibrant as the samsung. Luckily my parents are not too concerned with that, but even they noticed it..but they will get used to it.
The price is the best thing about this TV. But, if you have the extra 200 buks to spend, for better quality, spend it. I work a low paying job, and I cannot afford a better TV. But, if you make good money ( lets say 40k a year or more) you have NO business buying this TV, unless its for some other use.
But if you want a TV that has good quality for gaming, and blu ray movies and such...I would NOT recommend. ( My parents still use a VCR so no biggie for them)
I took the old Samsung, and put that in my room, hooked up my Wii -U and Mario Kart 8 looks BEAUTIFUL! But, if i play it on this RCA, it will look like crud in comparison. And sound horrible too.
BOTTOM LINE:
A VERY affordable TV, with a good size for living room. Good for older folks, who dont care too much about quality, and want to save money.
Not good for someone who wants to game with it, and have great looking graphics, colors, and sound. But again, this TV is VERY low price, and you will have to spend at LEAST 150-200 dollars more, for the same size, but better quality.
This product has... Easy to set up, Great value and features for the price, Right number of connections, Easy to use remote control
About me... Technically savvy viewer, Gamer
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
