While I was thinking that a Smart TV would help me not need my Roku Box in the Bedroom, I was unaware at the time of purchase that Samsung had an Exclusivity agreement with HBO. I cannot use HBO GO with this TV at present, but if it could, it truly would be saving me the space of the Roku box. Otherwise the TV has great Picture, the Playstation Now feature is interesting, but feel will be better once they have a subscription model.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Compact External HDD for travel

It's small form factor is what swayed me to go with this product. I like that it has such a large storage capacity, and it is easily formatted to HFS-J for a Mac OS, or NTFS for Windows, or as long as it isn't for time machine, or a dual boot OS installation you can even use ex-Fat to use between a Mac and a Windows Machine. Fits well on the lid of my laptop.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm looking for NAS storage that is compatible with both pc and mac
I own a Mac and my husband has a PC. This says that you have to reformat this device to use it with a Mac. Is there a way to use it with both a Mac and a PC?
If you do not care about using it for Operating System Files or Time Machine on the Mac, you can use the Mac Disk Formatting Utility preloaded on the HDD to reformat the drive to ex-Fat to be used by either OSX or Windows.

Is this HD compatible with my MacMini?
It can be, but will require you to use either the MAC Disk Utility to reformat to HSF-J or there is a Western Digital software that can be read from the drive that can be used to format the drive to be used on Mac OSX.

Does this drive need to be partitioned in order for Vista or W7 to recognize it?
It will be formatted as NTFS by default, which both Vista and Windows 7 can both recognize the entirety of the 2TB this drive offers with that format without partitioning or reformatting.

Can I use this interchangeably between windows vista and windows 8.1?
I want to back up all my files from an old PC with Windows Vista into this external hard drive. Will I be able to pull out the files using a new laptop with a Windows 8.1 readily or do I need to do any reformatting?
Both Windows Vista and Windows 8.1 use an NTFS HDD format and both can read the same disk formats. Both will be able to read and write whichever files you may need them to from or to your external HDD.
