I read a lot of reviews before going with this TV. I wanted to also be able to hook my computer up via HDMI 2.0 and use it as a gaming monitor.
I suggest using the calibrated settings suggested here
https://reviews.lcdtvbuyingguide.com/samsung-led-tv/samsung-un55ks8000.html
You can then tweak it a tiny bit here and there for personal taste.
lcdtvbuyngguide has calibrated settings for many TVs.
I know it says 8000 series but all 8000 series panels are the same but 8500 just means curved.
Just wanted to give people calibrated settings and say its a great TV.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this TV on suggestion of an employee.
I tried every setting possible, nothing made this TV look good.
Color is So off / inaccurate, Very GAINY, and just plain bad.
I took it back within 2 days of owning it...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I gave it 4 stars because it's an great TV, for the price.
Don't expect this to be equal to a Top Tier panel, because it's not.
However, I had a Top Tier Panel on my last plasma and when it went out, I was looking for a bargain to hold me over until I could get exactly what I wanted.
It needs a Lot of calibration to look good. It's never perfect because it's not a high end panel. It's a little dark, and a tiny tiny bit washed out looking.
Not bad, I am just trying to be accurate, not overly critical.
After messing with setting for 2 weeks straight, I think I have it looking the best I can make it look.
My picture settings ( calibration settings ) are:
Picture mode: MOVIE
Cell Light: 18
Contrast: 100
Brightness: 48
Sharpness: 12
Color: 52
Tint: G51/R49
Dynamic Contrast: High
Black Tone: OFF
Flesh Tone: 0
RGB mode: OFF
Color Space: Auto
Gamma: 0
White Balance: Use 10 point Leave 2 point alone, should be all 0's
10 point settings:
Interval Red Green Blue
1 -1 1 -2
2 -2 -2 -2
3 -3 -1 -4
4 -4 0 -3
5 -1 -2 -2
6 -5 -1 -1
7 -7 1 2
8 -1 1 2
9 -5 1 7
10 -3 0 -3
Picture Options:
Color Tone: Warm 1
Dig Clean view: OFF
MPEG NF: OFF
Film Mode: Auto 2
Black Optimizer: OFF
MAKE SURE YOU TURN OFF ECO SOLUTION
The only part I use is Turn off in 15 min if no signal
Eco Savings, sensor both OFF
There are professional settings on plasmatvbuyingguide ( google that)
but I think the TV looks terrible with their suggested settings.
My settings aren't perfect, it's what looks good to me.
I wish it was a little brighter, but my settings, to me, look as good as this TV can get.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The specs don't say anything about audio. Are speakers included?

Does this unit have audio outputs that I can hook into my stereo?

it ONLY has One optical audio out. I had to buy a DAC from amazon to get sound to my stereo with RCA cables. The DAC was $20 OREI DA21X Premium.

Is there a break in period for this TV?

I am not a tv expert, but I can say, mine seems to look better after it has about Two weeks of heavy use. And with a Massive amount of calibration to make it look as best I could. I posted a review of the TV just now, if its approved, I put all my settings in the review.
