What's great about it: Very clear picture
What's not so great: Sometimes the picture is not as bright
The sales associate showed us the difference in a plasma and LED television. At first, I noticed a couple of times the picture was not as vibrant or colors as crisp as an LED television but for the money and the longiviity of televisions made today we selected the plasma unit. In 7-8 years when this one wears out, we may try an LED television at that time. This is the first plasma television we have owned.

will tv sit on a flat service without stand attached? limited room for height

No, must use stand. TV can be mounted on the wall. We are using the stand.
