A IN-Depth review
First off, let me say I am amazed how good this turtle beach headset is!You would think that if it was made by turtle beach it would be over priced bad headset. As I was reading the box and papers I was seeing stuff like "most advance gaming headset ever made" or " This is the best headset we have ever made" I thought this is stupid and laughed. Boy was I wrong!
Looks like they decided to step up their game when Astro released their A50! Headset is just about better in every way compared to the Astro A50 by the way, which in my opinion it WAS one of the best headset ever made!
Mic is better
Bass is better
Audio is better
Surround is better
More comfortable
Longer battery life
Quicker charging time
Lighter
Higher quality materials
Easier to connect
And personally, I like the look of the Elite 800's over other headsets.
Though this is not mentioned or advertised by ELITE 800 It does support Xbox one and pc! Not sure if it will be wireless for Xbox one because you need to plug it into the adapter that you can buy for the console. You can get full surround on pc wireless if you a aux output and DTS surround sound support. If you don't have that you'll only get USB audio (wireless still but no surround and does not sound good) .
Right when i started playing Battlefield 4 on my pc i noticed straight away how crisp, realistic, and how precise and accurate the surround sound was. There was also tons of EQ modes to play with; there are 4 types of EQ's available for each genre of sound( Gaming, Movies, Music, and stereo ) Personally my favorite for gaming is "Signature sound" out of the following EQS which can range from shooter, super human hearing, enhanced footsteps, racing, and sports. Music EQ modes are bass, rock, and few other ones that I cant remember which personally should not matter to ya'll because everyone reading this review is a gamer. I'm just letting you know that this is useful for other things than gaming unlike the astro a50s. The one problem I have with the EQ modes is that it takes way to long to change EQ modes, like, 4 seconds, which is not long but instead of it saying "Tuned for shooters" it could just say "shooters". Also Noise cancellation is over advertise for the thing, its not amazing. Just like any other mic other than the fact that its not there and in the headset which is nice. Dont worry the mic quality was not sacrificed, its not as bad as the 1st generation of the a50s. It is also quite smaller and a little bit lighter than a50. Also, very important detail, theirs not really any static noise in the headset but very little if volume is maxed out. One thing the A50's beat the Elite 800 at is that it can get a solid connection to the receiver at a father distance. With the elite 800 you'll be able to stand about 20 feet no walls but if your behind a wall and father than 15 feet you'll get no signal. Another cool feature is that you can hook your phone up to it and receive calls and hear text, awesome.
Very easy to set up,great head set, great design, great features, just a great experience and I would recemond this headset to any gamer who has a ps4,pc, and even Xbox one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Is this at all compatible with XBOX as well?

Will this work on the XBOX 360 using the bluetooth adapter and/or on the XBOX One using the adapter for it?
Yes but not wirlessly to my knowlege. You will need the adapter.

It also works with pc if you have Dolby and AUX cable. It can support pc without those but it will sound bad and be stereo only. I THINK the xbox one supports surround sound.
