This modem/router combination boasts some attractive specs, but after the first month I have had nothing but dropped connections and tons of packet loss. The WiFi performance was horrible from the start; I couldn't even stream non-HD videos on youtube without it cutting in and out, and I was only about 15 feet from the router!
At a month in, I can no longer play online games or stream videos even with a wired connection. I should've done a little more research before picking this router up. I highly recommend picking a different brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

WIFI range

What is range of the wifi with this modem, can I go on the patio with it?
From my experience, it will probably reach your desired location but the perfomance leaves a lot to be desired. I would definitely recommend a different brand.
