Really like this laptop. Great design, nice touch screen, and the price wasn't too steep. Great quality picture on the screen, and the keyboard feels solid when typing. I am still pretty blown away by the audio as well, though I feel a little silly when plugging in the subwoofer.
I wasn't too sure about the whole "tablet" thing (where you can fold the screen backwards) but I find I use surprisingly often. I am pleasantly surprised in its usability.
My only gripe is a low battery life (4 hours, max), but considering I wanted the cd drive, video card, and generally leave it plugged in, I knew about this going in. Hence, no stars off for me.

How easy is it to replace the hard drive?
I found it very easy. The hardest part was removing the bottom panel, which sticks in the center. Once it comes off though, it's just a matter of plugging it in and screwing it in place.

Asus Q551LN-BBI706 ssd upgrade
I have read that this laptop will only accept Samsung SSDs. Is this true?
I added a crucial SSD, and it's working just fine.
