I mounted the TV stand to the TV and placed it on our TV stand which stands about 16 inches high. Once we powered it up and installed the TV's WiFi settings and app updates etc. we noticed the remote worked about 75% of the time. After doing some research I noticed other people online were having the same problem. One review said to place a piece of alum foil taped to the back lower left corner having it hang down about an inch and a half. Well this seemed to help a little but it wasn't a good fix. The IR sensor is mounted on the bottom left corner, so my wife and I decided that maybe raising the TV to about 25 inches off the floor would help, and wallah - the remote works all the time now. It seems this TV was designed to be wall mounted with a height of at least 25 inches. I like everything else about the TV, so I am happy now.
I would recommend this to a friend!
