After a little more than two years this is what has happened. 1. hole in interior drain flex tube, 2. cracked pump housing, 3. continuous DC error as a result of the continuous mis balancing of loads small and large and the padding on the inside of the machine has worn off resulting in horrible banging noise. To service these items; $30 hose I replaced and a quote for over $600 to fix the out of balance. Since I paid a little over $600 I might as well buy a new one. This washer replaced a 15 year old Kenmore. They don"t make em like they use to. Also note NOT everyone is able to service Samsung. I had to call several places to find one that repaired Samsung.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Troubleshooting problems

I have a problem with my washer. It shows an 'nF' sign which I looked up in the manual meaning the hot/cold water hose is not connected properly? Everything looks fine and connected properly.
it might be a water pressure problem. there is a minimal water pressue value so the valves can work

when child safety lock is disabled will lid still lock?

Yes if you are running a cycle. once cycle is done then the lid is unlocked
