I was able to get this particular sound bar on black Friday for only $200 but after using it and seeing its capability I would have easily paid the $300 or now $236. The sound bar its self is 42" which is rather large but does put out lots of sound and great quality at that. The bluetooth connection is superb and even better than my Bose soundlink which I payed the equal $200 for. In addition to the sound bar there is a very strong wireless sub which then connects to a left and right rear speaker. The wireless sub allows for you to place the sub its self and the rear speakers in the back of the room without running cables across your living room. Sometimes when buying an entry level system the rear speakers lack quality but these ones look and sound great and are super easy to hook up. Some might be worried about losing connection from sub to soundbar but you don't have to do a thing but turn on the sub and it automatically connects. For the remote and controls of the system those are also better than i expected. The remote has a display so you can change a few settings and select the input. The only down side to the settings and the system is that there is not much customization but for the price i would not expect that. All in all i would 100% recommend getting the soundbar if you are looking to enhance your tv or music playing sound quality. I live in a 13 X 13 dorm room and i have gotten many noise complaints just from watching movies, probably from the sub shaking the walls... lol To me that is a darn great sound system. Don't hesitate and buy this product, you will NOT be disappointed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Additional Hookups in addtion to TV.

I have a DVD player and a Cable DVR that I want to hookup to this sound bar. It seems the input are limited. How does the Cable DVR and DVD hookup to allow the sound bar to project the sound ? I'm not getting the concept. Do all components need to be hooked to the bar ? Right now everything it hooked to TV via HDMI and I just change the input on the TV.

I'm an older gent, and I appreciate any info you can provide. Not a real tech person. Thanks in advance...
the way that the digital input works is that what ever sound is coming from your TV be it from your DVD player or your DVR will be fead into the sound bar. I have a DVD setup to my tv by an HDMI cable and i do not have to do anything but change the input on the tv to have the sound come through.
