I purchased this combo about three months ago and so far have had no problems. I saw it was on on sale this week for $20 and purchased another for use in the bedroom. I haven't had any problems with keyboard leg or mouse movement at all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can the batteries be replaced in the mouse? I cannot figure out how to replace the batteries.

there a button underneath the mouse that you must push. This opens the top back end allowing u to change the single battery enclosed in the casing.
