To start, and this is more to do with Best Buy than the actual dryer, the guys who "installed" the dryer, seemed to do an awesome job and we tipped them well as they were fast and easily moved 2 bulky old machines for us. They also taped up the trap door on the bottom that they likely broke and cracked the dial on the washer. I thought, at first it was where the plastic ended until I went to take the plastic piece off and noticed it didnt exist. Upon closer inspection, they taped shut the little door on the bottom of the machine because it will not stay closed without it. So they know they did it.
But whatever, with three kids it will likely get broken eventually anyway, and none of the damage would impact performance.
First thing I noticed is not much water goes into the machine. Making me skeptical about how clean the clothes were getting but I put on an extra rinse, and that is what being low efficiency is all about right? Any clothes started coming out still smelling like worn clothes, but it didnt seem too bad and I really hate to complain and really do not want to deal with this, I just hoped it would go away, like maybe the machine just needed to warm up or something.
Well my 5 year old wets the bed sometimes and I got his clothes in first thing this morning and my fiance asked me to smell it and they still smell like urine. The cycle we are using now BTW is the one that takes 3 hours! This machine is terrible, and I dont know how anyone could recommend it after using it for awhile.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does this Samsung model come with a right hinged door option?

No, you cannot change the door on this model.
