Replaced my older HP with this one. I am so happy with the wireless capabilities. Printing is flawless, Pictures are right on color and the size is so less bulkier than my last All-in-one. The salesman at Bestbuy directed me to this one after stating what I expected to do with it. I am so happy with it. If you want convenience of wireless, less bulk, and awesome printing..This printer is the one!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Is this compatible with a Dell Inspiron 1525 Windows Vista laptop?

Do I need anything special. Want also to print using Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. Does it fax and scan?
Do not know about Dell..but my HP vista laptop connected flawlessly. It does have a scanner but it does not have faxing capabilities. I also connected wirelessly to my Samsung Galaxy S5 with the help of an App in Playstore called Hammermill. I didn't like the HP printing App. It kept giving me grief. Hammermill App is free and will connect to your printer wonderfully! HOPE THIS HELPED.

What kind of USB cable is required to purchase?

Is it a standard USB to USB?
it is a standard printer usb cord. This is wireless though . No need for anything to hook to a laptop or PC that has wireless. I have a wireless HP all in one computer. It connected wonderfully. I do have an App on my Samsung Galaxy S5 called Hammermill, which you can download for free at Playstore. It lets you add this printer and print right from phone or tablet. You can also connect printer to computer via cable if you don't want to connect wirelessly.
