I moved into a house that was listed with a washer and dryer. Thankfully the two appliances were trashy and they didn't supply a new set. Because this washer and "matching" dryer from samsung are awesome. This model does get the clothes clean. It spins it dry so the dryer doesn't have to work as hard or long to dry the clothes. The dial allows you to select the general setting, such as "heavy duty", which generally selects the time, water temp, etc. then you can change a setting or two without the machine blacking out a setting. I purchased a top load, which is the same machine as a front load, except for the position of the door. Why top load? My mother has a front load and the clothes do tumble around more in it. But if you forget an article of clothing, you must wait until all the water drains out of the washer before it can unlock the door. Otherwise, you would have water pouring out onto your floor. The top load does lock the door, also, but it will quickly release it once you hit the pause button.
Ok, so the clothes don't get placed into the dryer immediately after a complete wash. I happen to be one of the few who enjoy the cute chimes at the end of the cycles. So I'll stand there and listen to them until my husband yells down the stairs, "I need my underwear now!" He doesn't favor the chimes as much.
The drum is large and deep. Since my washer is in the basement, it sits on a platform in case of flooding. So I was forced to buy a step stool to reach the bottom of the washer. No biggie. We can get a lot of clothes and sheets in that machine! I like the fact that we can watch our clothes ride the waves through the glass. It's a bit dark, but still light enough to see.
The only minor "issue" is that I noticed the washer and companion dryer do not totally match. The washer has a slight green tinge with blue trim on the dials and the dryer has a slight reddish tinge with orange trim on the dials. The pair ARE white, but when they sit next to each other, you can notice a slight difference in the tinge. But that's ok. It challenges my OCD, but I'll learn to ignore it.

Bleach dispenser not emptying
I just bought the wa48h7400a & for the first use I ran a bleach load, did not fill bleach to max line. Lots of bleach still in the dispenser. Just ran another bleach load, did not add any more bleach, & there's still bleach left in the dispenser. This can't be right, can it? If it empties any more bleach into the next load it'll ruin the non-bleach stuff. The dispenser doesn't seem to come out for emptying & there's nothing about this in the manual. Help!!
Please excuse my ignorance, but are you sure the bleach dispenser contains bleach? When I look in my dispenser, it looks like there is something in it, but when I stick my finger in there, the plastic is bone dry. The plastic has a strange look that makes it appear full. Also, if there is liquid in there, it could be water caused by splashing around and spraying. Stick a paper towel inside the dispenser. If it's wet, does it emit a bleachy odor? If there is, indeed, bleach in your dispenser after several loads of washing, you should call a repairman. I have used the bleach dispenser, and the bleach was emptied into the wash during that first wash load. Good luck!

Cancel signal tones
Is it possible to cancel or silence the signal tones?
Awe! 8,^( The sound is pretty. Just like wind chimes! OK, Silly. This is how you turn off the beautiful music and make your housework humdrum again: Press and hold the Temp button for a few seconds until the joy is faded out of your life and the sound icon (above the word "rinse") turns red. If you desperately miss the beautiful music, press and hold the Temp button again until pretty flowers float in the air and cute little bluebirds flitter around your head.

Any problems with unbalanced loads happening a lot?
I have been researching washing machines and have noticed a lot of the top load washers have issues with the clothing coming unbalanced and the washing machine stopping until you re-balance the clothing and start the machine again. I haven't seen any issues with that with this Samsung top load washer. Has anyone experienced that issue a lot or a little? I am really gearing towards purchasing this one but wanted some feedback.
I've washed several loads, including towels and jeans, and so far, that hasn't happened to me.
