Wanted to upgrade from my 28" 1080p computer monitor for larger imagery at higher resolutions. Hooked this 43 to a high end video card with HDMI to digital connection and got blown away with spectacular and most unbelievable color and sharp imagery. Not only that, but the internet YouTube 4K videos access is like nothing I have ever seen before in such realistic quality imagery. I'd say the LG 4K OLED meets SONY 4K with a powerful impact of quality for the money. I have a 60" Samsung Smart 4K-UltraHD 7100 series for regular TV viewing which is also equally spectacular. I will be looking to obtain additional 43" as a computer monitor which I will focus on the SONY XBR-830C. I believe the resolution capability is a tad better than Samsung and LG, but not by much. If you are going to buy, forget about 1080P. 4k everything should be your only focus for the future.
I would recommend this to a friend!

do I need a 3d tv to use a blu ray 2d to 3d player

Well, YES if you want to view 3D video. You have to have some applications to interface for use.

what is the in between measurement of the base or stand?
25 inches between inside mounted base stand feet.
