What's great about it: Size factor - almost too small
What's not so great: Just not known for speedy transfer speeds ...
Prices on quality storage devices like this have fallen a little bit since I purchased a 16GB one in 2006 - for $199.99. THAT'S what they were selling for then. I purchased this one to maintain backup copies of a particular project ... and PNY and SanDisk are each reputable companies. This is a great bargain.
This product has... Reliable, Attractive design/portable, Large capacity/good size, decent file transfer speed
About me... Need a simple backup solution, Need storage for large media files, portable project back solution
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Quality for the Price, Easy to Install
What's not so great: Just not as "well-known" as the others!
I am a huge fan of ZAGG's Invisible Shields. No better quality ... no better support ... no better warranty in the biz. But my local Best Buy didn't have an Invisible Shield in stock for my 4th gen iPod touch this particular day. Being a little paranoid about scratching multi-hundred-dollar-units; screens, I saw what else they had for my model. I recognized "Griffin" as a name I trusted - since I owned other Griffin accessories. But a five-pack for the price of ONE of the "other" brand's offering? Well, I had to protect my screen - so I snagged the Griffin pack. The original one is still on my iPod touch. EASY to install. Eliminates glare - and does not make reading type any more difficult. This product is another fine accessory from Griffin.
I would recommend this to a friend!

back-up
Can I use a Flash Drive to back up my computer?
You can certainly back up up to 16GB of data to one ... But not a complete backup of your system. Ideally, everyone should have an external backup drive that has a system bootable backup on it. That way, if your main drive fails (and it will ... either this evening, or in 6 years - it will fail) you have that bootable backup ready to boot from. ALSO - have the critical docs and photos in a THIRD location - in the cloud is ideal. Tax returns, precious photos, important docs ... having THREE COPIES (local drive, external drive, cloud) is essential. That way, if your computer gets blown away by an AC surge - or stolen - you can reciver those essential files from any computer in the planet that has 'Net access.

Will this work in my Toyota Camry?
I have a USB port in my Camry and need a drive that will playback MP3/WMA...I already bought one drive the car won't read...Wondering if this would be another wasted expense...
What does the documentation for your radio say are the requirements for a USB device?

Can I lock it?
You can certainly encrypt any data saved on one of these. TrueCrypt comes to mind: http://www.truecrypt.org/downloads
