I find it very rare these days to find a product that is designed for easy installation and also has excellent installation instructions. This is definitely the exception as it comes with easy to follow instructions and all the hardware you need. Went up quickly and was easy to adjust the viewing angle. Can be installed by one person with no problem.

One thing that my wife and I hate is waiting 10 - 15 seconds for a TV to warm up. This one comes on in less than 4 seconds to a beautiful picture. The colors, detail and clarity are great for a low priced ($550) 4K HDR TV. The upscaling from the normal HD Direct TV picture is great. Originally bought a different model but returned it when it could not match the picture quality of this one.

I am not a gamer but do a lot of other work on my PC so need one that is very fast as I do a lot of picture and video editing as well as financial management. Key Pros on this machine: fast CPU, fast SSD, 7200rpm hard drive, programmable keys (really love that feature, saves tons of keystrokes). I have a 4k external monitor so was expecting more from this display but it is better than a simple HD. The only Con is the battery only lasts a little more than 3 hours. Almost downgraded this to 4 stars because of that but there were so many good features that I went with 5.
The 128GB SSD is plenty big enough for all my software so apps load very fast. All my data, (Music, pics, videos, docs, etc.) is stored on the Hard Drive. The combination of both of these is great.
Is a little heavy at 8.5 lbs, especially for a PC without a CD drive, but I guess that is expected with the 17 inch display and all the internals. I will not travel with this, have a 3 lb ultrabook for that.
I have compared this PC to similarly configured models from MSI, and Asus and this was certainly the best deal for the money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this as a BB best deal for a great price. Was easy to set up, just insert the battery, plug into the wall and plug devices into it. I have my internet modem/router, NAS, mobile tel Microcell and another device connected, everything worked well from the start.
To test the battery backup, I turned off the circuit breaker to the area, all the lights and wall sockets went off but the battery took over in such a short period that none of the connected devices noticed an interruption. Only kept it off for 5 - 10 minutes but during that time, internet connectivity and access to my NAS and other protected devices was not impacted. Don't know how long the protection lasts but I expect it to be more than an hour.
Very happy with this APC unit..

Was not sold on the security offered by cloud providers so bought this to share and backup files. Sharing files between 2 personal laptops and 1 business laptop as well as family and friends remote to me. Got this setup and validated in 30 minutes, then took off on a business trip to Manila. No problem connecting through the hotel Wi-FI at all. Read time was fast, write time was fine for smaller files but somewhat slow going over the net for larger files. That is an internet restriction, would happen with any cloud service. Called up WD's help desk a couple of time for questions and they were very responsive, even started a remote session in my PC to help.
Very glad I made this decision. Would recommend connecting with an ethernet cable rather than wi-fi when you do back-ups and heavy file copies as it is much faster than wi-fi.

Not only is the picture great, but the upconversion from DVD and TV is wonderful. Have watched normal DVD, not blu-ray and it is crystal clear, very sharp. Blu-ray is awesome. Watching live football is a much better experience. Only problem I have is that infrequently the sound does not match the lip movements but I have my signal coming from the source box though my receiver to the TV and think this is an issue with the path and the receiver, not the TV

What's great about it: High Quality printing, Small footprint

Just replaced a 5 year old Canon inkjet printer with this HP and am extremely happy. Set up was a walk in the park, just take off the packing material, load paper and run the setup disk. Connected via Wi-FI first time and continuously without issue. Printed a 4x6 picture to test it and the quality was superb, great color and sharp images. Then printed a 20 page document which had mixed text, maps, tables and pictures, partially on picture stock, part on plain paper. Again the print quality is much better than I expected with colors that were true to the display. Did not expect this level of quality for such an inexpensive printer (on sale). Have printed using the Wi-Fi connection from multiple places in the house with no issues. Also has a sleep mode so that it uses just trickle power until you send a print job to it. Have only had this for a week so do not have history on it yet, but so far, so good.

Picked this up because it was on sale and turned into a great buy. Just charged the batteries overnight, plugged in the phone cable and set the date, time and message. Less than 10 minutes. Sound quality is much better than the Panasonic system it replaced and the large numbers are great since my eyes are not what they used to be. Speaker phone works well also.
Only have used this for 24 hours but have made a number of domestic and international calls in this period.
About me... Budget Conscious, Gadget lover, Heavy phone user

What's great about it: Picture, sound, ease of use
What's not so great: nothing
Had 2 Blu-ray players before this one., a Sony and a Samsung, both were OK, but very slow to load and use. This Panasonic works great, faster to load and use. The setup was easy, connected to my home wireless in minutes and downloaded the latest update automatically. The picture is great, both with DVDs and Blu-rays. Scenes are crisp and clear. A little pricey at $350 but was able to find it on sale to save some bucks. Would have bought it anyway, all Blu-rays should work this well.

What's great about it: Writing, acting and fidelity to the book
What's not so great: nothing
Sticks close to the book and gives a real insight to what the first major battle of the Vietnam War was like. I only wish we had more battlefield commanders like LTC Hal Moore and more movies like this one. Sam Elliot steals every scene he is in with his rendition of a battle hardened SGM. Also goes farther than almost all other movies to show what the life is like for the wives and families left behind.
The blue-ray treatment is good, but the writing, acting and true to life scenese are enthralling. Recommend you read the book also.

I don't have Virgin mobile but have a similar setup with ATT. Plugged in my modem/router, microcell, etc. and it worked like a champ. As long as you are pulling 110 volts, should be fine, I expect

Does this need a power source or can it plug into any cat-5 jack or network port on a switch
I have a Control4 audio/video distribution system. I think the previous usb drive needed a power source but it wasn't a network or cloud drive.

Do you have to have a iCloud accounnt to use MyCloud?
If I purchase the iCloud do I have to have an iCloud , paid iCloud account?
no, totally separate. I use it without an iCloud account

Can it be used with Mac and a windows at the same time?
I have a couple of Macs and a couple of windows PCs. Can this be used to back up both at the same time?
Yes it can. Any device that can connect to the internet can access it concurrently with others.

Backing up process
Does it automatically back up your work which slows the PC down as you work or can you set it up to back up when you are finished on the PC?
You can schedule the backup for whatever time you want it to run
