I bought my Sennheiser 558s on another site about 4 years ago. Since then, they have been my daily headphones. I wear them 6 to 8 hours a day while I work. My pair has thousands of hours of use and still sound great. I have replaced the ear cups and cable, though, both of which can be easily removed and replaced if needed.
Pros
1. Removable cable and replaceable ear pads make repairing these things easy.
2. The sound is fantastic. The sub bass can get a little muddy (most open ear headphones are like this, it's the nature of the style) and the treble is a tad rolled off. However, the sound is warm and relaxed. I never get fatigued listening to these.
3. These are extremely comfortable. The headband and ear cups are foam covered in cloth. No leather. Ears stay cooler than over ear headphones with leather pads.
4. The impedance is low enough that most devices can drive these headphones pretty well.
Cons
1. The cable is super long and annoying. You can buy replacements for it, though, so it's not a huge deal. Replacements must have the sennheiser locking mechanism built in. If you go this route, just search for sennheiser 558 replacement cable.
Overall, I'm very happy with these. The sound quality is great for what they cost and the modularity helps keep them feeling new. Replacement pads and cables aren't too expensive. When treated right, these essentially last forever. They're not the best headphones ever made, but they're the best open ear headphones under $100 for sure.
Please note that these are open ear headphones. Most headphones have a solid plastic or metal back. These have a wire mesh instead which means there is nothing but some magnets and some mesh between your ears and the outside world. Sound does leak out and sound will flow in. That is how they are designed and it's on purpose, not a flaw. If you don't need or want that, then don't buy these lol. It's not a con or a negative, it's just a matter of taste and choice. These aren't designed for airplanes, they're designed for your couch.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought these for around the house listening, light yard work, cleaning, and other activities that usually work better with no wires. However, after digging, I found myself less than impressed.
Pros
1. They sound pretty decent. They have heavier than usual bass, but the clarity is also pretty good. Sounds more natural than something like the Skullcandy Crusher, but more bassy than something like Bose QC35 or the Around ear Soundlink II. A good between for people who want to listen to something other than hip hop or dubstep, but still also enjoy listening to hip hop or dubstep.
2. They're solidly built.
3. Good weight.
4. I've worn these for 4 hours at a time without major discomfort.
5. The bluetooth 4.1 connectivity is good. No blips or drops on my LG V20 (Android phone). I hear they work slightly better on iPhones.
6. The bluetooth buttons function well. Good, clicky buttons.
7. There isn't noise canceling which I liked, but the headphones do a good job at keeping outside noises out. With no music, you can hear outside noise, but with music playing you won't hear much unless it's very loud.
8. Micro USB charging cable can be used in computers or wall outlets.
9. If you use the included cable, it has a little remote on it.
Cons
1. These support A2DP V1.3 SBC only. That means they convert all audio files, no matter the quality, into the worst audio codec ever made by man. No AAC, MP3, or aptx (or aptx-HD)support. For $200, not supporting anything other than SBC is not great. Especially with Bluetooth 4.1 support which could easily handle all of those for a higher quality music experience. Instead, we're stuck with the same Codec support high end bluetooth headphones had back in 2008.
2. The buttons are on the back of the ear cup. Really easy to press them when putting on or taking off the headphones.
Overall they sound pretty good when plugged in. I don't think $200 good but BT headphones are generally overpriced. However, on bluetooth, these suffer from the same audio compression problems as headphones 1/10th their cost. Aptx has been around for years, and A2DP has supported other codecs for a long time. There simply no excuse for these to have the bare minimum for the price they're flaunting. SBC for $200 is poor decision making. I would pass on these, honestly, until jbl puts out something that's even moderately recent. These could be sounded way better on Bluetooth, but they wasted the opportunity.

Enjoy taking in the beautiful colors and imagery on your Samsung UHD TV. It has an expansive 55-inch screen, 2160p resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate so you can enjoy smooth images without stuttering. Add a laptop, gaming console or Blu-ray player by connecting it to one of the different ports on the Samsung UHD TV.

This is my first 4k TV and like most I'm impressed with the increase of quality of the images I'm getting. Paired with an Xbox One S and a Chromecast Ultra and you've got a mean home theater set up. I'll keep my thoughts brief.
Pros
1. Good picture quality although it takes some time to get it just right. I started on natural and moved the settings around until I got a good picture.
2. Decent upscaling. I watch Netflix on 1080p and everything looks nice.
3. Works with the Xbox One S.
4. Controller is simple and neat. I can use it to control basic stuff on the Xbox and Chromecast.
5. Bluetooth enabled which is cool.
6. The sound is actually really good. Built in EQ and various settings make it the best sounding TV I've ever had.
7. Good design and a center base gives me more options on placement.
8. Robust, if confusing, picture settings. The stock settings aren't great but some tweaking fixed that.
9. Enough connections for at least the basics.
10. Connected to my home wifi no problem.
Cons
1. The viewing angles aren't great. You pretty much have to be within 35 degrees of the center of the screen to avoid issues. I play games on a couch at a 45 degree angle and have to spin the TV a bit to keep the picture right.
2. The picture settings give you a fair amount of customization but not much. Each preset has random settings that you can't access which took a long time to work around.
3. Some settings, like the eco dimming, like to reset themselves. Very frustrating.
4. The judder fixing controls are fun, but the TV kind of lags on occasion which doesn't look great.
Overall, not a bad TV for the price. If you can wait and get the SUHD one for $999, do that. This is definitely an email try level 4K TV and would've been 5 stars if not for the poor viewing angles and the settings resetting. Not sure if I'll keep this one or return it for a slightly more expensive model with better viewing angles. If you don't need it for gaming, get the Vizio M Series. Much better and I would've gotten that one if not for the issues it's had with the Xbox One S. I would recommend it only to those who need a budget 4K for gaming.

Can these headphones be used for tv viewing? Looking at these for my son, he uses headpones for tv use and playstation.

These are excellent for TV viewing and video games. However, they do not have a microphone so your son wouldn't be able to talk to anyone in a game chat with these. Similarly, they terminate in a 3.5mm jack so your son's TV or Playstation controller would need a headphone jack in order to use these.

Typical burn-in time?

What is the typical burn-in time for these HD-558 headphones?
Burn in isn't real. In reality, it's your brain adjusting to the sounds the headphones make much like how your brain takes a few days to get used to new glasses or how beer tastes better the longer you drink it.

These are super relaxed in sound, they should sound good almost immediately I'd you like relaxed, warm sound. Worst case, a couple of days max.

How much external noise reduction for these headphones (Steinhauser HD558)?

The Sennheiser 558s have zero noise cancelation whatsoever and not much noise reduction at all. They're open ear headphones. If the volume of your music is low enough, you don't even have to take them off to talk to someone else in the room. If you need noise reduction or cancelation, do not buy these. They're designed for use in quieter environments.

Looking for Sennheiser wireless Bluetooth headphones???????? Help?

You're in the wrong spot bud. These are wired headphones. Sennheiser only has a few BT headphones. The momentum wireless and the urbanites xl wireless are the two big ones.

I am wondering about the Tidal subscription that comes with these. I currently have Tidal and am wondering if I buy these if I can stack the deal on my existing account.

I'm not a rep or anything, but in my experience with similar deals with other music streaming sites, I'm willing to bet the answer is no.

What is the difference between the 700 and 300?

The 700s are "around ear" while the 300s are "on ear"

Basically, the 700s sit on your head around your ears. The 300s sit directly on your ears. Otherwise, there's not much of a difference aside from the size.
