What's great about it: small, easy to install.
What's not so great: Horrible instructions, very jumpy image quality. Won't work with most devices!!!
I have been waiting for a while to try out this whole Miracast thing. My only device that is compatible though is my Samsung Galaxy S3 (Nexus 7: NOT Compatible, Nexus 10: Not Compatible) so I bought this because of the reasonable price, and good sales pitch online.
Long story short, Setup was not as easy for me as they made it out to be, and the instructions tell you nothing. I looked online for a better manual, but it's the same 1-page quick start guide. So I did get it going, but no audio, only the video, and the quality was horrendous. I was sitting within 10 feet of the TV by the way. Video was jumpy and erratic, so I didn't even bother worrying about the audio.
Note: Only a few Android devices are compatible, even ones running 4.2.1 or 4.2.2.... if you want to know for sure, go into your device's settings--->display and look for the wireless display option. If you don't see it, your device won't work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If it shows up on your Android screen, it will show up on the TV. It's essentially just a remote monitor.
