After six weeks, I can no longer rely on all the keys working, so this is useless to me. I do a lot of writing and need a keyboard that will make this process more efficient. This is not that keyboard. Also, I didn't realize how important it is to know if the Cap Lock is on: there is no Cap Lock light on this keyboard. Also, since the keyboard can't be lit, it is hard to differential between the apostrophe and the period by the keyboard graphics on all the keys when one's fingers get out of placement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does it show when caps lock is on ?

No, there is no light on the Caps Lock key. I didn't realize how important this feature is until I didn't have it!

My HP Envy-23 came with a kg-1061 keyboard which failed. Will this keyboard work for this computer?

My original keyboard quit working and would like to know if this keyboard will work with my computer.
I can't answer the compatibility of this keyboard, but I found the keyboard, while cheap, is not worth the money, having failed after just six weeks. SEE my review.

How do you change the batteries?

How does the battery compartment open?
There is sliding battery cover on the bottom side of the keyboard that easily slides off and on to install two AA batteries.
