What's great about it: TV on the Go
What's not so great: Additional App purchases
This is a great product. I have been using slingbox for a number of years. I caution you before reading the negative reviews as they All seem to be operator error. Many also complain about streaming quality. This ALL depends on what Upload speed you are buying from your ISP as well as the internet connection your are connecting from . If your on a cheap DSL connection with 1-3 Mb upload speed or have 1 bar of reception/slow hotel wifi connection, this will not work as well as you would like. Setup is not hard for the average consumer. Just follow the directions provided and set up one port forwarding rule on your current router....easy as that. Remember the quality of the streaming mainly depends on your upload speed from you residence. If that is good, this device works very well. Highly Recommend

Will it sling to a PS3 connected to a TV?

I have DirecTV at my primary address and want to sling that content to a vacation home. At that home, I have a PS3 connected to my TV. The PS3 is connected to the internet by wifi. Another question I have is what minimum download speed at my sling TO location is necessary to have decent video quality? The internet options at that vac home are limited to mediocre dsl unfortunately. Thanks!
The PS3 does not support slingbox playback.. your best alternative is a tablet/laptop/desktop with a hdmi out port to hook up to your tv...... the download speed isn't nearly as important as your upload speed from the location your slingbox is physically at..... you will get a great picture at and broadband connection (even slow DSL) as long as your upload speed from you slingbox is good.

Will my Michigan based Sling box work on a PC in Canada?

If I have a sling box hooked up to my cable box in Michigan and I want to watch it through a TV hooked to a PC when I visit Canada will it work? Some internet sites are not available in Canada, example Hulu.
Yes. This will work on any PC around the world that has a good internet connection. Different locations may have different streaming quality but will at the very least work.
